Impressive! I have been keeping records for 2 years on this program and this is the first time we have had this many people in the 20 min category!

FYI the course record (by a non professional rider) was set tonight – way to go Roger Friend.

The other two sub 20 min. performances were set by professional riders (one a visitor fresh from Belgium and the other our very ownwas Ben King).
Kudos to Alan T for shaving a whole min. off his last ride.

Registration is now open on Pre-Reg.com for the Wintergreen Ascent, the Virginia State Hill Climb Championship, and part of the State Senior BAR Omium as well as a VACA BAR Event for all other classes. The Race is being held on Saturday May 1, 2010 at the Wintergreen Ski Resort.

Cat 3’s note— Wintergreen is part of GAMJAMS Cat 3 Cup.

Hi all,

CRC is planning the 2010 Wintergreen Ascent for May 1. Tonight we have our first organizational meeting. If you are interested in joining the organizational committee, the meeting is 6 PM tonight at Shenadoah Joes coffee shop.

Also, I know racing and training is very expensive. So if you are looking to save some money, volunteer yourself, or your family and friends, and get a free entry into the race. If you volunteer on race day, you can get a free entry to another CRC event. Shoot me an email if you are interested, and I will hook you up!

Ok on Saturday I am riding from my house at 10AM doing the Saturday loop- should be out to Reas Ford/Earlysville Rd by 10:20 (doing some hill intervals).

Also note there are two more Tuesday Night Trainer sessions. DST starts March 14th, the Tuesday-Thursday Earlysville rides start the following week.

The first Wooden Bridges TT ride is Wednesday March 31 starting from 6PM.

A few people have asked me about the Dismal Dash- it is March 14th.

Charlottesville Racing Club Members,

I am very pleased to announce that this year’s club kits will be manufactured by Sugoi. I do not have order dates/deadlines yet and a fit kit should be here around the middle of the month, please take advantage of it. For now here are the pieces were are planning to offer and the associated cost. Below is a more detailed description of each item.

With the Winter Storm Warning and high amounts of snow predicted it is very likely we may have to post-pone the Holiday party a day (Sunday Night at 7 PM) unless the snow stops in time for the roads to be clear for the party.

We will make the final call on Saturday by noon. Obviously the CRC Shop Ride is canceled it is does snow.

Saturday- the Shop Ride is back! 10am from the Cville Bike parking lot: 42 miles of fun.

Saturday Night- the CRC Holiday Party- 7PM at my place (620 Ridgemont Road Earlysville VA 22936). Friends of CRC and those interested in joining are also welcome. Food/Drinks/Fun (aka beer and wine fueled Wii sessions) in the 5th (I think) annual event.
